Hello there

About us

couple in front of ancient ruins

Hi, We’re the Sandys.

We’re Amelia and Jacob Sandrock. We started this site mostly for us: a place to keep track of where we went, what we did, what we loved, what was overrated, and all the little details we swear we’ll remember forever and inevitably don't.

We got married in 2024 and are in our early 30s. We live in Little Rock, Arkansas, but we’re both originally from Louisiana, and between work, life, and our two dogs, we’re usually planning the next trip. We travel every chance we get, and with a last name like Sandrock, Sandy Passports pretty much named itself.

But we also wanted to make the kind of travel guides we actually look for. Not a perfectly polished itinerary where every meal was incredible and every hotel was a dream. We want to know what a trip was really like — what was worth the time, what we’d skip, what surprised us, and what we wish someone had told us before we booked it.

Our travel style falls somewhere in the middle. We use points a lot, look for good value, and definitely don’t need the fanciest option just because it exists. But we also aren’t trying to win an award for spending the least amount possible. Sometimes the cheap option is the best one. Sometimes it’s worth paying more. We mostly just want to come home feeling like we spent our time and money on the things that mattered most. And I'll tell ya, we usually have a damn good time doing it.

So that’s what you’ll find here: the trips we actually took, the itineraries we actually followed, and our very real opinions afterward — including when we disagree.

If it helps you plan your own trip, great. If nothing else, at least we’ll finally remember what restaurant we loved in that one city five years from now.
